As we have repeatedly mentioned in our market reviews, the high growth rate of wireless
devices and consumer electronics attracted many DRAM manufacturers and they started
the battle for market share in the flash memory sector (among the last to join
worth mentioning Hynix, ST, Infineon and potentially Micron). This has already forced
“established” manufacturers to increase the density of microcircuits and start
reduce the cost of a bit of memory.

Samsung is leading the way with SBC (Single Bit
per Cell) architecture; recently conducted by Semiconductor
Insights analyzes of K9F2G08U0M microcircuits confirmed that it is indeed
the first microcircuits made using the standards of the 90nm process technology. The size
crystal – 144 mm2 (the closest competitor has 2 Gbit MLC chips,
made by Toshiba according to the 130-nm process technology – 149 mm2). Probably no one
it is not worth reminding that if Samsung produces microcircuits with SBC-architecture,
