Minolta DiMAGE A2: new content in the old name

As they say, the new is just a well forgotten old. However, the name of the old Minolta A2 was not forgotten, which was revived in the new model – the Konica-Minolta DiMAGE A2 digital SLR camera. On the French site Chassuer d?Images published the first photos (advertising poster, presumably) and the main specifications of DiMAGE A2:

Since the A2 uses a stabilized CCD (by the way, the characteristics of the lens are similar to the Sony DSC-F828, and perhaps the A2 uses an 8MP Sony ICX 456 CCD), the camera is most likely based on the 5MP DiMAGE A1, announced in the middle of last year (see. overview
this camera here). If you look closely at the picture, you can see that even the A1 and A2 cases are similar, but there is practically no similarity with the A2 sample of 1955, except for the name.

This is what the Minolta A2 looked like in 1955.
